Werner Hosts an Opening Ceremony for The Wall That Heals

Werner held a public opening ceremony May 7 at its global headquarters in Omaha to commemorate The Wall That Heals exhibit on display until 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. More than 400 associates, veterans, political figures and members of the community were in attendance as Derek Leathers, Werner president and COO, and Jim Morbach, senior director of Student and Government Recruiting, highlighted The Wall’s significance and paid tribute to the sacrifices all veterans make.

Attendees were able to view the 250-foot long Vietnam Memorial replica that honors the 58,300 names of those missing or killed in action during the Vietnam conflict as well as tour a mobile education unit that displays photos, letters, maps and memorabilia.

Following the ceremony, all attendees were invited to enjoy a barbeque lunch provided by Porky Butts.
